Curated by Lect. Muhammed Said Erdemonar, the exhibition includes coffee table and seating element designs as well as modular and sustainable furniture concepts. Interior furniture design, which is one of the main areas of the Interior Architecture discipline, is presented concretely through student projects in this exhibition. While the event aims to encourage young designers by showcasing their original work, it also offers an important reference to their concept development and production processes.
“We produce projects that combine aesthetics and functionality”
IGU
Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Prof. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp emphasized that they continue to develop projects that prioritize aesthetics and functionality as a faculty and added the following:
“We encourage our students to carry their designs to competitions and support them to produce projects that can be used in the field of industrial design. In the process, we aim to provide them with a creative starting point.”
“We want our students to be proud to be part of this process”
IGU Faculty of Fine Arts Head of Interior
Architecture Department Asst. Prof. Kadir Öz, on the other hand, stated: ''The exhibition reveals the development of the students in the design process.
We are experiencing a process in which dreams turn into design, design into technical drawing, and then production. Our students' projects are born as an idea at the beginning, then transformed into a concrete design tool with materials and production processes. We want our students to be proud to be part of this process.”
The Modular Furniture Exhibition, which reflects the creative and innovative approach of the Department of Interior Architecture, will be open to everyone who is interested in the design world.
