Proud successes at the Wushu Kung Fu Turkish Championship!
Kaan Genç, one of the athletes representing Istanbul Gelisim University at the Wushu Kung Fu Türkiye Championship, managed to become the Turkish Champion in the 80 kg category and made his name at the summit. This championship won by Kaan Genç has become a source of great pride beyond the success in the sport, with his stance on the field and the values he represents.
İbrahim Sarıdemir, who competed in the same championship, achieved a great success as the Turkish Champion in the 75 kg category. İbrahim Sarıdemir's performance revealed how strong young people can be not only with their physical strength, but also with their spiritual and cultural values.
In the same tournament, Rüveyda Yıldız, a 1st grade student in the Sports Management Department of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, achieved great success as the Turkish Champion in Tai Chi Quan style.
Alperen Tula, another athlete of Istanbul Gelisim University, achieved a remarkable success as the 2nd place in Türkiye in the 70 kg category at the Wushu Kung Fu Türkiye Championship and was greatly appreciated.
Istanbul Gelisim University's achievements in the field of sports were not limited to Wushu Kung Fu. A great success was also achieved at the Bocce Petanque Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation. Kutay Duran, a student in the Department of Sports Management at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, achieved a significant ranking as the 3rd Turkish Single Men. Behind this success, as well as the disciplined work of the athlete, the support of the Sports Coordinator Kaan Oğulcan Hanbaba, who guided him, played an important role.
With these achievements, Istanbul Gelisim University students have proven once again that sports are not only about physical performance, but also a powerful tool for fulfilling social responsibilities and maintaining national values.
