The Rhythms of Production and Nature Rendered through Cinematic Storytelling
"Ada Kokusu" follows the life story of Şule and Aziz Bengi, a couple who left Istanbul behind fifteen years ago to settle on Gökçeada, and unfolds against a backdrop of olive trees, the scent of thyme, and island breezes. The documentary conveys the meaning of simplifying, producing, and attuning oneself to the rhythms of nature through cinematic storytelling.
Addressing the themes of sustainability, environmental awareness, and inner transformation, the film draws attention to the modern individual's need to reconnect with nature.
